Adventure Quest Tours

We provide professional leadership, small groups, and a perfect safety record after 20 seasons! Our specialty is encountering Orca whales while kayaking. There are only a few places in the San Juan Islands where whales are reliably found, and our kayaking routes are designed to visit them. Our day trips explore the Lime Kiln Whale Watch Park. Our 2, 3 and 5-day camping trips travel to the remote islands that maximize our chances for whale encounters. To ensure your safety and distinguish the educational level of our tours, we require a rigorous guide training program that is two-to-five times as long and intense as any other outfitter's in the islands. Children as young as 5 are permitted on special trips and we have three-person kayaks available for this purpose. Children under 12 may be eligible for a 20% discount. For those who prefer to go without a guide and have prior experience we have kayak rentals. We also offer birding and wildlife tours on both land or sea, led by our local bird book author.
