A Waterworks Gallery is San Juan Island’s premiere gallery for contemporary artwork, established in 1985 with the concept of showcasing artists based in the San Juan Islands and the Pacific Northwest. The work of the gallery’s painters and sculptors reflects the unique Northwest experience. Artists and their visions evolve and change with the seasons our beautiful environment provides.
Entering its 40th year, galvanized by new ownership and moved to beautiful new location, Waterworks is a welcoming, light-filled gallery space that continues to evolve as a cultural hub dedicated to uplifting the Arts and providing platforms for artists of caliber across disciplines. The represented painters, sculptors and jewelers reflect the area's beauty, both conventional and specific, the events and showcases in the gallery serve all ages and demographics and raise the energy of the whole community.
Every month from Feb-Dec features a new show, group or solo, well established and renowned artists and newly signed folks ready to continue the legacy with passion and ambition.
Home of Island Verse Literary Collective, a poetry based non profit organization with the goal of weaving the Islands together through the written and spoken word, be on the look out for unique collaborative workshops and events that blend Painting, Sculpting, and Writing to celebrate our Island home.
