La Conner, founded in the 1880's, is a community listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It can be accessed by land or sea (via Interstate 5 or the Swinomish Channel) and is home to many unique shops and art galleries. La Conner is rich in art and history, with many museums and galleries to tempt travelers. A popular attraction is the local quilt museum, housed in the historic Gaches Mansion.
