Experience premiere whale watching with San Juan Excursions aboard the 65-foot, twin-engine, classic motor yacht "Odyssey". One of the largest whale watching boat in the islands, the "Odyssey" offers guests excellent, comfortable indoor and outdoor viewing with heated cabins, lounge-style seating, a snack bar, two restrooms, padded outdoor seating, and wrap around decks. We see orca whales on a high percentage of our tours and if you do not see an orca, then you are welcome to come out another day, free of charge.
Our captain and crew are fun and informative certified marine naturalists, who love to share their knowledge with our guests and answer all the questions you can think of about whales and all of the other great wildlife that calls the San Juan Islands home!
On this wildlife cruise, we will look for the southern resident orcas, transient orcas, minke whales, humpback whales, harbor seals, Dall's and harbor porpoise, California and Steller sea lions, bald eagles and a variety of seabirds. Once we are out where we can see whales, we can drop our hydrophone into the water to "listen in” on the orcas vocalizing and allow enough time for you to get excellent wildlife photos! We also offer free use of our binoculars and provide children's books and coloring for the little ones. Singles, couples & families are welcome.
