The Whale Museum is holding two open houses for anyone interested in volunteering with The Whale Museum’s Education & Museum departments (non-research). The open house events will be held on Tuesday, February 4 and Saturday, February 8 from 11 a.m. – noon, at The Whale Museum.
If you have some spare time and are interested in the Salish Sea and marine mammals, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Education & Museum Department staff will be available to discuss volunteer opportunities and answer questions. Light refreshments will be served.
On-site volunteer opportunities include becoming a docent to educate visitors and youth about marine mammals, serving as a preschool/elementary teaching assistant, and helping with museum programs/projects. No experience is necessary – training will be provided! Scheduling can be flexible. Open House attendance is not a requirement to volunteer at The Whale Museum.
