Visual Arts Committee Presents: The VAC Show Opening Reception – Friday, January 17th 5:30-7pm On display at Orcas Center – January 17th – February 11th About 20 years ago, a group of artists decided to take up the task of creating art exhibits at Orcas Center, and The Visual Arts Committee (VAC) was born! No matter who has been on the committee in its various iterations, these amazing volunteers spend hundreds of hours each year working with community members, artists, and cultural groups to bring engaging and visually compelling shows to the center. For the first show of 2025, we honor the work of these dedicated artists and their tireless commitment to the arts on Orcas. Join us in celebrating the work of Kathleen Youngren, Leon Rosenblatt, Mary Jane Elgin, Julia Summers, Sarah Crigger, Zoe Osenbach, Carol Ann Anderson, Kirk Nozaki, Marjorie Taylor, Julie Rusby, Brook Meinhardt, and Avi Shmueli – Our current VAC committee members.
