Orcas Center’s Visual Arts Committee (VAC) is excited to present an art opening on Friday, September 26th from 5:30pm – 7pm with featured artist, David Densmore in the lobby, and a community show with the theme of Movement in the Madrona Room. Featured Artist David Densmore paints where he lives on Orcas Island Washington in the upper left hand corner of the United States. Many of his paintings have been executed on site in one sitting but he has also been doing larger studio paintings the last few years. Trained as a jeweler, David has worked in many mediums mostly wood, copper, and paper besides oil painting. He still sees painting and the landscape with a sculptor’s eye.
