Orcas Choral Society - Glory, Grandeur, & Gospel Saturday, May 17th at 7pm Sunday, May 18th at 2pm This May, immerse yourself in music to transport your soul as Orcas Choral Society presents, “Glory, Grandeur & Gospel” for voices and brass. “The concert will include surround-sound voices and brass reminiscent of European cathedrals,” said Bruce Langford, Orcas Choral Society Artistic Director. The three-fold concert includes contemporary composer John Rutter’s Gloria for voices and brass, antiphonal choral and brass works from the 16th Century by Giovanni Gabrieli, and a selection of familiar spirituals, also arranged for voices and brass. “With multiple styles of music, this concert has something for everyone,” Langford said. “And it’s all great music.”
