Lopez Island is the least populated of the three main islands but still has plenty to keep art-lovers happy. The Lopez Artist Guild produces exhibitions through the year at the Lopez Center and The Hamlet. During the Lopez Island Studio Tour in September, visual artists open their studios to visitors, letting you get a behind-the-scenes look at this creative island.
The many musicians on Lopez play frequently, whether it be at a local bar or a barn dance. Lopez Center for Community and the Arts and historic Woodmen Hall are great venues to see a concert or performance. The Salish Sea Early Music Festival and Island Stage Left’s Shakespeare Under the Stars also hold performances on Lopez Island.
