Spencer Spit State Park, on Lopez Island, is a 138-acre marine and camping park. The park is named for the lagoon-enclosing sand spit on which it rests. There are many sheltered and unsheltered picnic tables, and two miles of hiking trails. The park has a reputation for excellent crabbing, clamming and "car-top boating." Our home commands a magnificent, sweeping view of the Rosario Strait; Cypress, Sinclair and Blakely Islands; the Peapod Rocks; and the Cascade Mountains. It's a wonderful big sky and big water view that simply captivates. Few homes offer such a peaceful, private sanctuary, where each morning you will wake to the sounds of singing seagulls, spouting whales, changing tides, and the wind in the trees.
